It’s important to find the rest that you deserve for yourself. It’s a special kind of rest that only YOU can grant YOU. 🖤 The topic of ‘rest’ has been heavy on my heart these last few weeks, as the pandemic continues to ravage on (in the US especially, due mainly to people’s ignorance) and the holiday season isn’t as rejuvenating as it once felt. 🖤 I have struggled with a lifetime of independence catching up with me, trauma from taking care of my family, etc… making rest a very touchy subject. 🖤 The long and the short of it is this: there is a very special moment when you realize that you just need rest. You don’t need to be productive and you don’t need to take care of anybody else. The moment that you realize you need rest, you can give it to yourself. Sink into it. Let it fall over you. The deepest kind of care and the most intimate of peace is the kind that is only handed to you, by you. 🖤
