Let’s talk about what radical self-acceptance looks like. Spoiler: it’s not all sunshine and flowers (but if we’re talking about flowers, roses are always a good idea). 🌹 The past week, I’ve been on a deep journey trying to understand why I struggle with shame and guilt. These feelings will cause me to spiral into anxiety. I’ll want to apologize for everything I’ve ever done wrong and sit in that energy. 🌹 But that doesn’t help anyone. What I was really struggling with were self-worth and self-acceptance. Without those, I felt unworthy of blessings, manifestations, my relationships, of peace… I am are worthy of peace. A peace that transcends all external (and internal, if you’re an overthinker like me) factors. 🌹 Sit with yourself. Learn why you do the things you do. Accept that, accept it as part of your journey. Learn how you can do better. Start doing better. No shame or guilt required. 🌹 Accepting all parts of you can feel wildly difficult when you realize it means accepting the “bad” parts, too. But as soon as you accept them and learn what they are teaching you, there is no shame, guilt, or anxiety… just a wide-open path to evolving, doing better, and radical self-love. Accept yourself as you are; your worth is in your DNA and is not contingent on anything. 🌹
